Blue Line services hit for over an hour

New Delhi: Delhi metro train service between Anand Vihar and Vaishali sections of the blue line was impacted for nearly one-and-a-half-hour Tuesday evening due to technical snag.While the service was temporarily impacted on a section, it led to cascading effect with commuters on other sections of blue line complaining about the delay during peak evening hours. The service was restored at 6.43 pm.“The service was affected from 5.20 pm to 6.43 pm due to OHE failure. To carry out restoration work, services were halted for some time and eventually were restored at 6:43 pm. Single line operations were also maintained for some time from Yamuna bank to Anand Vihar metro station to maintain connectivity,” said Anuj Dayal, principal executive director, corporate communications, DMRC. He added that regular train services were maintained from Noida Electronic City to Dwarka Sector 21 section.However, many commuters took to social media to complain about the delay. Kundan Rautela, a commuter, claimed on X that “no metro has been coming for the last 45 minutes.”
