JAIPUR: A 25-year-old woman and her two minor daughters were found dead in a pond in the Govindgarh area near Jaipur on Tuesday in what police suspect to be a case of suicide. Police said Pooja, who got married six years ago, left her home early on Tuesday morning and allegedly jumped into the pond, located around 2 km from her house, along with her two daughters. “The bodies have been shifted to the mortuary of a nearby hospital for postmortem,” Govindgarh SHO Vinod Sankhla said. Police have launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances that led to the deaths, the officer added.
