Hyderabad: A 29-year-old fraudster was arrested by Jubilee Hills police for sexually exploiting a 15-year-old girl and collecting 13 lakh cash from her. On the girl’s complaint, police arrested the accused and sent him in judicial remand. The accused was earlier arrested for stalking and sexually harassing the same victim in 2025. Police are verifying if the accused duped more women in a similar manner.The accused is K Chandrasekhar Azad alias Arjun, a native of Guntur in Andhra Pradesh. Police said that the accused befriended the girl through Instagram in July 2024 and by expressing his interest in a relationship with the girl, the accused used to meet her frequently.The girl’s parents came to know about the relationship and on their complaint, Jubilee Hills police booked Azad under Sections 78 (stalking), 351 (2) (criminal intimidation), 7 r/w 8 (sexual assault) and 11 r/w 12 (sexual harassment) of the POCSO Act in April 2025. He was arrested and sent to judicial remand. In May 2025, he got bail in the case and a few months later he again started talking to the girl, using her driver’s wife’s phone.On the pretext of starting a business, the accused made the girl give him 13 lakh in cash, which she had stolen from her house. The driver’s wife, who was aware of the girl talking to the accused, also extorted 9 lakh from the girl for not tipping off her parents. The accused also sexually exploited the girl when she was alone at home in March 2026.Meanwhile, the girl’s family came to know that Azad was again meeting her. When confronted by the family, she told them about the assault. On the girl’s complaint, police registered a case under Section 64 (2) (rape) and 308 (2) (extortion) of the BNS on Saturday (April 18) against Azad and he was arrested on Sunday. The accused was produced before the court on Monday and sent in remand. The allegation against the girl’s driver’s wife is also under investigation.Jubilee Hills police have also registered a zero FIR on the complaint of a 21-year-old student who came to the city from Guntur. The accused befriended her last year when she was looking for a hostel and sexually exploited her with a promise of marriage in Narsingi. Recently, she too came to know about Azad’s involvement with a minor girl and lodged a complaint against him with Jubilee Hills police on Sunday. “We have registered a zero FIR and transferred it to Narsingi PS,” Jubilee Hills inspector U Srinivasulu Reddy said.
