NEW DELHI: A 30-year-old woman was shot dead at her home in south Delhi’s Sangam Vihar Thursday. Police have arrested the husband who allegedly fired multiple rounds before fleeing. According to preliminary investigation, Kavita was killed several hours before her body was found. “The murder took place sometime between 3 pm and 4 pm, but came to light only in the evening after a neighbour noticed something was amiss and informed the police,” a senior police officer said.Police identified Kavita’s husband, Shubham, as the main accused. During investigation, police found that the couple had been married for around two years and had frequent domestic disputes.The woman’s family has alleged that he had been harassing her over money and property. Suresh, a relative of the deceased, alleged that he had repeatedly threatened to kill her over the issue.
