Udaipur: Forty-six people fell ill after eating at a wedding ceremony in Kherki village Salumber district’s Parsad police station area Thursday evening. Two persons in critical condition were referred to Maharana Bhupal (MB) Hospital, and eight others were admitted to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Parsad.According to information the guests attending a wedding began complaining of stomachache, vomiting and diarrhoea, within an hour of eating. A team from health department reached the venue and started looking for the affected people. The team conducted a door-to-door survey in the village and provided necessary medicines. Medical teams were also alerted in the entire area.CMHO Salumber Dr Mahendra Parmar said that in view of food poisoning likely, the health department exercised complete vigilance. The team remained stationed in the village Friday to deal with any emergency.
