PUNE: Sunil Gaikwad, a man who helped recover Ketan Agarwal’s body moments after the incident at Lohagad fort, has claimed that while the crowd was in shock and shouting for help, Siya Goyal remained calm at the spot. The incident occurred on 18 June at Lohagad fort near Pune. “Gaikwad said he was among the first to reach the gorge and pull Ketan out, recalled that panic broke out as visitors screamed for help and rushed towards the edge and that ‘she showed no remorse or cried and kept her cool.” Siya, who had accompanied Ketan to the fort, is now a prime accused in the case along with her boyfriend Chetan Chaudhary, with police probing their movements and interactions before Ketan’s death. The case, which initially began as an accidental death report, was later reclassified as a murder probe after investigators flagged inconsistencies in the circumstances surrounding the fall. Police suspect Ketan may have been pushed during an altercation at the fort, though the exact sequence of events is still under investigation.
