CHENNAI: The Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) on Thursday declared the written exam results for recruiting assistant professors for govt arts and science colleges in Tamil Nadu. As many as 42,064 candidates appeared for the written exam, which was conducted on Dec 27 last year, to fill 2,708 vacancies. The board has already released the results of five subjects, and the remaining 43 subjects were released on Thursday. TRB released the tentative answer key along with the objection tracker on Jan 5. “Candidates representations on the tentative answers key were received along with proof, and they were examined by the subject experts. After a thorough scrutiny, final answer keys for questions have been arrived at by subject experts and now released by the TRB. The final answer key given by subject experts is final,” a release from TRB said. “After evaluation based on the final answer key, TRB now releases marks for all candidates. Candidates, who claim to have teaching experience, will be awarded marks for experience only after verification of original documents by the documents verification committee comprising experts under the leadership of the joint director of collegiate education,” it further said. It asked the candidates to bring their teaching experience certificate, equivalence for postgraduate degrees and relevance for MPhil or PhD awarded by the university. ” The teaching experience marks and relevance certified by the verification team is final. The date, time and venue for original document verification would be intimated within two weeks,” TRB said.
