Hyderabad: The Attapur police on Monday arrested a 40-year-old man for allegedly attempting to kill a worker in a furniture shop in Suleman Nagar. The incident was captured on CCTV at the shop. According to the police, the accused, Syed Mazar alias Mahmood, stabbed the victim, Aziz, while he was sleeping on the floor. The victim sustained multiple stab injuries and is currently undergoing treatment. Probe revealed that the accused had been terminated from his job at the furniture shop a few months ago and was replaced by Aziz. This angered him, and he previously threatened the victim. In this connection, the accused attempted to kill Aziz. Mahmood was caught at the Aramghar crossroads and later sent to judicial remand. TNN
