HISAR: A 30-year-old contractor working with the public works department’s (PWD) buildings and roads (B&R) branch allegedly died by suicide at his residence in Krishna Nagar on Tuesday, police said.The deceased was identified as Aman Sharma. According to the preliminary investigation, he is suspected to have used his licensed firearm.Police said family members were present at home at the time of the incident. When relatives later checked on him, they found him unresponsive and immediately informed the police.A team from Urban Estate police station reached the spot and began an investigation. The body was shifted to the civil hospital for post-mortem examination.Family members said Aman had distanced himself from his contracting business in recent months and had been assisting his father at the family shop. Relatives added that he had suffered financial losses in his contracting work.His father, Arun Sharma, said Aman generally followed a regular routine but remained inside his room for an unusually long time on Tuesday morning. The family later discovered the incident, triggering scenes of grief at the residence.Police said all aspects of the case are being examined and statements of family members are being recorded. Relatives said Aman had not shared any personal concerns with them. He was the only son in the family and is survived by his parents and two sisters.
