Ludhiana: Police have charged a man with rape and criminal intimidation after he allegedly blackmailed a woman using explicit photographs.The suspect met the victim on social media in 2025, assaulted her at a hotel, and captured compromising media. He then used the images to coerce her into further sexual abuse.After the woman married and moved away, she cut off communication. In retaliation, the suspect forwarded the explicit images to her brother-in-law, exposing the extortion scheme to her new family.Police registered a first-information report under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and are tracing the suspecct.—
