Cloud cover to break hot spell for next two days

Times News Network Chandigarh: With the weather department forecasting partly cloudy skies for the next three days, residents can expect some relief from the heat. Chandigarh recorded maximum temperature of 39.8 degrees Celsius on Saturday, which was two degrees above normal. The minimum temperature settled at 25 degrees Celsius, three degrees below normal. The weather department has predicted partly cloudy skies for Monday and Tuesday, with maximum temperature likely to hover around 38 degrees Celsius and 37 degrees Celsius, respectively. Wednesday is expected to remain mainly clear, with the day temperature dipping further to around 36 degrees Celsius. Minimum temperature is expected to remain between 25 degrees Celsius and 26 degrees Celsius during this period. With moisture and cloud cover expected to increase intermittently, residents may experience brief spells of relief from the daytime heat, although temperatures are likely to remain above normal for the next few days.
