Missing man found murdered, body burnt to destroy evidence
A team from Sector 37 police station arrested the three accused on Thursday

Gurgaon: A 64-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death by three men for objecting to them drinking in public in Khandsha. The accused then carried his body to a secluded spot and set it on fire to destroy evidence.The deceased, identified as Balram, had gone missing on June 12. His son lodged a complaint at Sector 37 police station on June 14, following which a case was registered. His body was burnt in an open area around 500 metres from the village.According to sources, the accused said Balram frequently abused them. On the night he went missing, an altercation broke out during which the three assaulted him with sticks, killing him.Two of the accused then transported the body on a bike to a nearby cowshed belonging to their associate and set it on fire, remaining at the spot until it was completely burnt. Investigators also found that the accused had removed a ring from the victim’s finger and sold it to a jeweller for around Rs 70,000. The ring has since been recovered.The breakthrough came after police examined technical evidence, CCTV footage and local intelligence inputs. A team from Sector 37 police station arrested the three accused on Thursday.The accused have been identified as Vishesh Tomar (18) a resident of Shamli in UP; Mithun (30) from Fakana village in Bulandshahr, UP; and Sandeep (41), from Kharkhoda in Sonipat.Mithun operated auto-rickshaws in the area, while Vishesh and Sandeep were involved in animal husbandry. Sandeep was previously booked in a murder case in Sonipat; Mithun in assault cases in Ghaziabad and Gurgaon. “We will recover the weapons used in the crime and collect further evidence,” said Sandeep Turan, police spokesperson.
