Guwahati: Zubeen Garg’s cousin brother Sandipon Garg, who is one of the accused in the singer’s death case, has moved Gauhati high court seeking bail in the case.The fast-track court set up for speedy trial of the case rejected Sandipon’s bail plea on June 8.On May 26, the fast-track court framed a charge of culpable homicide not amounting to murder against Sandipon. Following that, he filed a bail plea in the fast-track court on May 27. However, the court rejected his bail plea.The high court is yet to list the bail petition.Zubeen had gone to Singapore on Sept 17 last year and was supposed to perform in the festival. He died while swimming in the sea on Sept 19.At the time of the singer’s death, Sandipon was present on the yacht, along with other accused, excluding the organiser of the North East India Festival – Shyamkanu Mahanta.
