Times News NetworkLucknow: Piped natural gas supply is likely to be affected in several areas of Lucknow on Thursday due to an infrastructure upgrade being undertaken by Green Gas Limited (GGL). According to officials, work on the district regulating station (DRS) at Vipul Khand will begin at 10 am and continue for around 12 hours. Gas supply is expected to be restored by 10 pm the same day.The upgrade is being carried out to enhance capacity of the DRS in view of the increasing number of consumers in the area. Officials said the work is necessary to strengthen the PNG distribution network and support future demand.Areas that may be affected during the shutdown include Vijay Khand, Vishal Khand, Vipul Khand, Viram Khand, Vikas Khand, Vinay Khand, Vivek Khand, Vineet Khand, Viraj Khand, Virat Khand, Vishwas Khand, Vipin Khand, Nehru Enclave, New Hyderabad, Nishatganj’s Metro City Apartments and parts of Eldeco Greens.Around 9,500 consumers are expected to be impacted by the temporary disruption. GGL has advised consumers in the affected localities to make necessary arrangements in advance.
