Jalandhar: Two youths in their 20s who had come to the Doaba region with a combine harvester for maize harvesting were found dead near Jando Sarai village, near Kartarpur, police said on Monday.The deceased were identified as Jaspreet Singh of Ferozepur district and Gagandeep Singh of Muktsar district. They had been working in the fields of a farmer in Bullowal village and had been missing for the past two days.Police said parts of the bodies appeared to have been damaged by stray dogs.Kartarpur DSP Narinder Singh Aujla said one of the youths had accompanied his father on the harvesting machine. The two had reportedly taken Rs 1,000 for liquor and other expenses before they went missing.The DSP said the families had not expressed any suspicion of foul play. The exact cause of death would be ascertained after the post-mortem examination, he added.
