Lucknow: A potential railway accident was averted on Friday afternoon after an iron frame was found on the tracks near Dilkusha Halt in Lucknow.The alert loco pilots of Punjab Mail spotted the object ahead and brought the train to a halt before it could run over it, preventing any disruption to rail traffic.The incident occurred around 2:10 pm. Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel reached the spot and removed the object for examination.Preliminary investigations suggest the object may have been placed on the tracks by miscreants, though officials said all angles are being examined.Following a written complaint by the RPF, Lucknow Cantt police registered an FIR under relevant provisions of the Railways Act. Further investigation is underway.
