Hyderabad: A gym trainer and his girlfriend were booked by Sanathnagar police for allegedly misbehaving with a woman client, a commercial pilot. The accused repeatedly tried to convince the complainant to agree to a ‘one-night stand’ with him and also reportedly sent vulgar messages on Instagram.On June 11, the 37-year-old complainant approached police, alleging that in March 2025, she enrolled in group classes at a gym in Sanathnagar. The fitness manager used to greet her daily at the gym, and he asked her to attend separate training sessions. “Taking advantage of the acquaintance, he began asking for a one-night stand on multiple occasions. He also followed me on Instagram and sent me vulgar messages,” she stated.As she did not respond to the messages, the fitness trainer allegedly sent his girlfriend to talk to the complainant and convince her to engage in an intimate relationship. “The girlfriend said that it was his fantasy. I warned him against such conduct, but he continued to follow me at the gym, in the parking area and also at other places,” the pilot said.Based on the complaint, Sanathnagar police booked a case against the fitness trainer and his girlfriend under Sections 75 (sexual harassment) and 78 (stalking) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) on June 11. The accused were issued notices by police on Friday, asking them to appear for questioning.
