Margao: A 40-year-old woman from Sasnamoddi, Cacora, who had fallen into a well, was rescued by locals and fire brigade personnel on Thursday. She was taken to the Cacora primary health centre, where she is learnt to be out of danger.Station fire officer Damodar Zambaulikar said that by the time the fire brigade reached the spot, a local had already entered the well to rescue the woman, but was clinging to a rope and on the verge of drowning.Two off-duty fire personnel, who had arrived ahead of the vehicle, climbed into the well and attempted to rescue both persons. They were subsequently joined by two on-duty personnel, and together, the team managed to pull both to safety.
