Chandigarh: An unidentified person fled after snatching gold earrings from an elderly woman who was on her way home from a shop in Sector 37 on Friday morning. The incident was captured in a CCTV camera installed at the spot.Sector 39 police reached the spot, recorded the elderly woman’s statement and began to search for the accused.Amarjeet Kaur, 72 , a resident of Sector 37, said she was a few steps away from her house when a man walked up to her and snatched her earrings. She added that she tried to chase the accused but could not.Passersby gathered when she raised an alarm and informed the police.
