Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) working president T Jagga Reddy alleged that BJP and prime minister Narendra Modi were behind the rejection of nomination of Telangana Congress incharge Meenakshi Natarajan in Rajya Sabha elections. He said the BJP was stooping to the cheap politics for the third Rajya Sabha seat in MP that too in the case where no FIR was registered against her.“Meenakshi Natarajan is a clean and simple woman. The BJP opposing a woman from entering into Rajya Sabha unfortunately using the Election Commission of India (ECI) . No one even knows what is really in the private complaint. Will a nomination be rejected over such a minor case? Will the Election Commission halt it by scrutinizing even commas and full stops?” Jagga Reddy said at a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday. He said Narendra Modi has been in power as PM for 12 years. The ruling has been a rule of conspiracies and manipulation. The party has no ethics and bulldozing the non-BJP govts in the states with malpractices in the elections, the TPCC working president said. The BJP govt, which had failed to fulfil its promises such as 24 crore jobs (two crore jobs a year) and other promises and housing for all, has scuttled the opportunity to a woman from entering from RS and spreading lies Congress coverts. He condemned BRS leader Harish Rao’s remarks on Congress internal politics behind Meenakshi’s nomination rejection. “While the actual theft is BJP, the BRS is busy throwing mud. Harish Rao has not questioned the BJP’s unethical practices,” the Congress leader said. He said if there were really any coverts in Congress party, the party would not spare any leader.ends/
