MUMBAI: An IndiGo flight from Bengaluru to Mumbai returned to the bay after suffering a bird hit during take-off on Friday evening, said sources.Flight 6E6283, scheduled to depart Bengaluru at 7.05 pm, turned back as a precaution after the crew reported a bird strike shortly after departure.Confirming the incident, IndiGo said the aircraft experienced a bird hit and the pilots decided to return to Bengaluru as a precautionary measure.Following inspections and safety checks, the aircraft was declared airworthy and subsequently operated the flight to Mumbai, the airline said.“The aircraft experienced a bird hit. The pilots turned back as a precaution. After checks, the aircraft was declared safe and the same aircraft operated the flight soon after,” an IndiGo spokesperson said.According to sources, the flight eventually departed Bengaluru at around 8.45 pm.No injuries were reported.
