Mumbai: A constable attached to Khar police station has been suspended after being arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in a case of graft.The suspended constable, Basavaraj Dhamgunde, was posted in the passport verification section. According to the police, Dhamgunde allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 2,000 from a complainant for passport-related work and later reduced it to Rs 1,000.Unwilling to pay the bribe, the complainant lodged a complaint with the ACB. A trap was laid on May 18. After Dhamgunde’s arrest, he was served a suspension order on May 22.
