Pune: The Wagholi police on Monday arrested a 27-year-old man from Parbhani district for allegedly throttling his live-in partner to death on the suspicion of infidelity sometime between May 28 and 31.The deceased, a native of Medinipur in West Bengal, and her partner, a plumber, were staying together in a flat for the past two years, Wagholi police said. The police arrested the suspect from his native place in Parbhani district.The police said a foul smell permeated the building. The residents traced the source of the smell to the locked flat, the police said, adding that some of them called the police.The police broke open the front door lock and found the decomposed body of the woman. Later, it was revealed that he had throttled her to death, the police said.
