Chandigarh: Police are analyzing CCTV footage after a 24-hour crime spree left three residents targeted by vehicle-mounted thieves.In the first incident, Soumya, a commuter from Kalka, was walking near the Sector 31 traffic lights when a motorcyclist ambushed her from behind, snatched her mobile phone, and sped away. Passersby rushed to aid the woman, who immediately alerted authorities. Investigators from the Sector 31 police station arrived shortly after to record her statement.No arrests have been made, and tracking efforts for the rider remain underway.Two laborers were ambushed on their bicycles in separate neighborhood robberies on Monday. In Hallo Majra, three attackers riding an Activa scooter cornered food delivery courier Jitender near Ravidas temple, restrained him, and stole 3,200 rupees from his pocket.Hours later, two motorcyclists blocked commuter Vinod at the Kajheri crossroads as he cycled home from his shift at the Sector 31 NCC office. The thieves forcibly took his phone and 150 rupees. Police stations in sectors 31 and 36 have launched coordinated investigations to identify the suspects.
