Rajkot: For over a decade, Rajkot Bicycle Club (RCC), one of the city’s leading cycling groups, has been championing fitness, environmental awareness and healthy living, transforming cycling from a recreational activity into a growing social movement.Founded in 2015, RCC has built a distinct identity by promoting cycling not merely as a sport but as a lifestyle choice rooted in fitness, discipline and sustainable living.“Cycling is not just a hobby for us; it is a people’s movement towards fitness, discipline and a better nation,” RCC founder Divyesh Adhera told TOI.Today, the club has around 170 members drawn from diverse backgrounds, including students, doctors, industrialists, professionals and senior citizens. Working with the motto “Fit Rajkot, Healthy India,” RCC has organized several initiatives aimed at popularising cycling and encouraging healthier habits .Its flagship event, ‘Cyclofun’, has introduced thousands of residents to cycling, fitness and environmental awareness, while ‘Cyclomiles’ has pushed riders to build endurance and mental resilience through long-distance cycling challenges.
