Gurgaon: A 37-year-old man died after an unidentified vehicle hit his motorcycle from behind on NH8 near Bilaspur in the early hours of Friday.Amit Kumar, a resident of Jakhopur in Rajasthan, worked at a factory in Manesar and was returning home when the accident took place around 12.05am.In his complaint, Amit’s brother, Hitesh Kumar, said the vehicle was being driven at high speed and in a negligent manner. The impact threw Amit onto the road, causing fatal injuries, while the driver fled the spot.Police reached the spot after receiving information and shifted the body to a govt hospital. After the autopsy, the body was handed over to the family.“An FIR has been registered at Bilaspur police station under sections 281 (rash driving) and 106 (causing death by negligence) of BNS. Efforts are on to identify the vehicle and trace the driver,” an officer said.Labourer run over by tractor in BhondsiIn another incident, a 29-year-old man died after being hit and run over by a tractor in Bhondsi on Tuesday evening.Rohit, a resident of Raisina village in Sohna and a daily-wage labourer, was returning on foot with his cousin after work when the tractor hit him from behind around 8.30pm, according to a complaint filed by eyewitness Pawan.The impact caused him to fall on the road, after which the vehicle’s wheel ran over him. The driver was identified as Krishan, a resident of the same village, the complaint stated.Rohit was taken to Sohna General Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. His body was sent for autopsy.Police said a case has been registered at Bhondsi police station under sections 281 (rash driving) and 106 (causing death by negligence) of BNS against the tractor driver.
