Pune: A 35-year-old pedestrian, Arjun Mhaske from Katraj, died after a private luxury bus hit him on the Katraj–Kondhwa Road near Pisoli around 1pm on Wednesday.The incident occurred while Mhaske was crossing the road, and the bus driver allegedly failed to notice him.“Mhaske was rushed to Sassoon General Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries,” said sub-inspector Anil Nimbalkar of the Kalepadal police.Police have registered a case against the bus driver for rash and negligent driving, as well as causing death due to negligence.“The bus was heading towards Phursungi and took a right turn when its rear portion hit Mhaske, who worked as a daily wage labourer. He fell onto the road, and passersby immediately alerted others and helped shift him to the hospital, where he later died,” he added.
