Surat: Amroli police have booked four persons, including the father of a woman who had eloped with a man, for allegedly threatening and abusing the man’s family members while searching for her whereabouts.According to police, the woman had eloped with the brother of the complainant a few days ago, and the couple is also stated to have married.Unable to trace her, the woman’s father, along with his brothers and son, allegedly went to the complainant’s residence on Saturday morning and confronted his family.The accused allegedly demanded information about the woman’s whereabouts. When the family said they had no knowledge, the group allegedly abused them and threatened them with an iron pipe.After the accused left, the complainant’s wife alerted police by dialing 112. The complainant later approached police and lodged a complaint.
