Chennai: DMDK general secretary Premallatha Vijayakant on Saturday made a veiled attack on TVK, saying that the 2026 election was a victory for fantasy and illusion.She issued a statement asking the party men not to get dejected on seeing the election results. “Based on the interests of our party men, we aligned with the DMK-led secular progressive alliance (SPA) and won a single seat out of 10 constituencies in which we contested. The 2026 election victory (for TVK) was not just due to change in people’s mindset but was a victory for fantasy and illusion,” Premallatha said.Thanking the people of Virudhachalam for electing her and DMDK cadres and functionaries for working hard for her victory, Premallatha said the defeat is only temporary and DMDK cadres, being the followers of DMDK founder Vijayakant, should march towards their long-term goals.
