Chandigarh: Acting on complaints of drinking water supply issues in Sector 38 (West), MC chief engineer Sanjay Arora Thursday conducted an on-site inspection of the affected area to assess the situation and ensure prompt remedial measures.The inspection was carried out in the presence of the area councillor, local residents, the superintending engineer, and executive and sub-divisional engineers concerned.During the visit, Arora reviewed the underground water supply infrastructure and directed officials to inspect the entire supply network for possible leakages. He also asked them to examine sewer lines in the area to rule out any blockage or risk of contamination.Emphasising public health and safety, the chief engineer instructed officials to conduct regular water sampling and submit a detailed report after inspection and testing.He assured residents that the MC is committed to ensuring safe and clean drinking water and that corrective measures will be taken on priority.MC chief engineer Sanjay Arora on Thursday inspected Sector 38 (West) over water supply complaints and ordered a check of all supply and sewer lines to rule out leaks and contamination.He directed regular water sampling and sought a detailed report, assuring residents of prompt corrective action to ensure safe drinking water.
