Gurgaon: A day after police registered a case against individuals for the alleged gangrape and abetment to suicide of a 19-year-old girl in Nuh, the authorities have launched a hunt for five people after constituting multiple teams.Police on Thursday identified all five accused: Amaan, Sahrukh and Talha are the other suspects besides Arshad and Jahul, who were named in an FIR on Wednesday. A senior officer said, “We have constituted four-five teams, including from the Crime Branch, Cyber and the local police station.”The girl died by suicide on Wednesday after she allegedly consumed a poisonous substance, suspected to be pesticide. However, police officials said that the autopsy report is awaited to ascertain the exact reason and the substance consumed by the girl.The father of the deceased alleged that the accused gangraped his daughter by taking turns on May 18, clicked obscene photos and videographed the assault, which they used to blackmail the victim and even threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident. According to the family, the accused are “dabang” (notorious) individuals, having a social dominance.Earlier, the case was registered at Bichhor police station against Arshad and Jahul and three unknown people, under Section 108 (abetment to suicide) and 70(1) (gangrape) of BNS.The father in his complaint alleged that the incident occurred around 1am when his daughter and his mother were at home. The daughter was sleeping in her room while her mother was sleeping on the terrace.Sources said that among the accused, one of them runs a cyber racket while the other is involved in drug peddling. Police said a background check is being conducted.The father earlier told TOI that he was visiting his elder daughter to meet his mother — who was at his daughter’s place — on the day of the incident. When he returned on May 19, his daughter narrated the ordeal to him.The accused began to blackmail her and asked her to meet them alone or else her photos and videos would be circulated on social media. After some time, mother saw her vomiting and took her to the hospital, where the doctors said that she had consumed the poisonous substance.
