Palghar: A worker sustained severe burn injuries in a boiler explosion at a factory located in an industrial area of Boisar in Palghar district on Thursday, an official said.The incident occurred at 10.45am in Nandosal Industries located in Tarapur Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) area, he added.“A company worker suffered around 60% burn injuries in a boiler explosion and subsequent fire,” said Vivekanand Kadam, chief of the Palghar District Disaster Management Cell. The injured worker, identified as Harishchandra Ambedkar, was admitted to a hospital in Boisar, he added.After being alerted about the incident, local firemen rushed to the spot and managed to douse the flames. The exact reason behind the explosion is yet to be known, Kadam said.
