Mumbai: The Supreme Court Collegium on Monday approved appointment as permanent Judges, six Additional Judges of the Bombay high court. The six who become permanent HC Judges are Justices Nivedita Mehta, Prafulla Khubalkar, Ashwin Bhobe, Rohit Joshi, Advait Sethna and Pravin Patil. The HC has an approved strength of 94 Judges and a vacancy of 16 Judges as of now. A new Judge to the HC is appointed as an Additional Judge and usually within two years is made permanent. With the six, the strength of permanent Judges goes up to 58. There are in all 78 Judges at the Bombay HC across its benches at Nagpur, Aurangabad Goa and Kolhapur.
