Gorakhpur: Chairman of Tata Sons, N Chandrasekaran, visited the Gorakhnath Temple along with Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath and offered prayers to Guru Gorakhnath, on Wednesday.Chandrasekaran, who was in the city to attend inauguration of eastern Uttar Pradesh’s first Centre of Excellence at Maharana Pratap Institute of Technology, reached the temple in the afternoon with the chief minister and offered prayers as per rituals amid Vedic chants .After the puja, the CM, who is head of the Gorakshpeeth, took Chandrasekaran around the temple campus and briefed him on the history, philosophy and spread of the Nath sect, as well as the life and teachings of Guru Gorakhnath and other prominent saints associated with the tradition.At the temple, chief priest Yogi Kamalnath presented Chandrasekaran with a ceremonial angavastram inscribed with ‘Shiv Goraksha’ along with prasad. Following the visit, the Tata Sons chairman also attended a lunch hosted by the Gorakshpeeth.
