Bandi Sanjay defends son against allegations
Union minister of state (home) Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s son, Bandi Sai Bageerath, on Tuesday moved the Telangana high court seeking anticipatory bail in connection with a Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) case registered against him for allegedly sexually harassing a 17-year-old girl. The case is expected to come up before the vacation bench soon.

Hyderabad: Bandi Sanjay, Union minister of state (home), said on Tuesday that his son, Bandi Bageerath, had done nothing wrong, responding to a POCSO case filed against him.He expressed his determination to confront anyone conspiring against his family, likening his resolve to Lord Hanuman’s burning of Lanka. Bandi declared his intent to eliminate elements he alleged were conspiring against him and his family.During the Hanuman Ekta Yatra, held in Karimnagar, Bandi said he was a devoted follower of Lord Hanuman and warned that those creating trouble would ultimately face consequences. He noted that even Lord Rama experienced exile, adding that he carries the saffron flag in his heart. “I made a mistake. I never gave enough time to my son,” he said.Bandi reiterated that his son had done nothing wrong but accused others of attempting to portray him as a criminal. He emphasised that anyone who commits a mistake should be punished, affirming that no one is above the law. He also stated that party workers are like family and should support him in this situation.
