Gorakhpur: Panic gripped Asuran area of Gorakhpur on Tuesday morning after three LPG cylinders exploded at a tea and snacks shop located opposite a police outpost, triggering a major fire and chaos in the locality.The incident took place around 5.45am at a roadside eatery operated by one Pappu Gupta. According to preliminary information, a gas leak from one of the cylinders sparked the blaze, which rapidly engulfed the shop. Within minutes, three LPG cylinders exploded one after another, with the loud blasts being heard across the surrounding area.Since the shop was located directly opposite the police outpost, police personnel immediately launched evacuation efforts and moved people out of nearby houses and shops to prevent any casualties.Two fire tenders reached the spot soon and managed to control the blaze. During the incident, shop owner Pappu Gupta sustained burn injuries and was admitted to a hospital for treatment.Police said the exact cause of the fire and the cylinder explosions is under investigation.
