ED action has exposed divisions in AAP: Jakhar

Chandigarh: Taking a dig at the AAP-led govt in Punjab, state BJP president Sunil Jakhar on Friday said the Enforcement Directorate’s action in Mohali had “exposed divisions within the party”.In a written statement, he said, “The infighting is entirely internal, yet whenever someone leaves the party, the BJP is blamed for it.”Earlier in the day, Jakhar also put out a post on X stating, “The ED investigation is still ongoing, and only upon its completion will any final decision be made. However, the way in which, as soon as the news of the ED raids in Mohali surfaced yesterday, chief minister Bhagwant Mann hastily stated in Kahla that :we have no connection to this,” has certainly highlighted the mutual relations between the CM and his party’s president, Aman Arora. In any case, a glimpse of the CM and party president’s “deep relations” was also visible during the May 1 cabinet meeting. And then later, the CM levels accusations against the BJP regarding those who left the party. In the written statement, Jakhar added, “The CM’s statement yesterday made it clear how deep the differences within the AAP have become. Perhaps, the CM does not want any leader in the party who could one day emerge as a challenge to him.”Referring to the May 1 cabinet meeting, he alleged, “Both Aman Arora and Sanjeev Arora were specifically humiliated by the chief minister during the meeting.”He said, “Punjab is now demanding accountability for the alleged loot carried out over the last four years.”
