Surat: Crime branch sleuths have identified all seven men involved in the Rs 50 lakh robbery at the Varachha SBI branch on Arpil 27. Police have also learned that a local named Chandan alias Jack alias Deepak had helped the robbers by giving them shelter. He had also allegedly gone went to railway station and bus station to pick up the accused. Police have identified all seven men who were at the bank during the robbery.Apart from Shubham Thakur, who was arrested from UP, investigators say those involved are named Saurabh, Alex alias Sumit Gandhi, Vijay, Sumit, Mukesh and Prince.Police also learned that Thakur had also stayed in Bharuch and Somnath and are investigating those who sheltered him there as well.Investigators searched the Jahangirpura house where the robbers had stayed and found a sim card, an vehicle RC book and a receipt from a Telangana shop from where they had bought the vehicle.Police also learned that the wanted accused Saurabh had transferred Rs. 93,000 to one Ajmal, who is Vikas Singh’s friend. The money was meant for Thakur, who was being helped by Singh. Both Thakur and Singh are in custody of Surat crime branch.
