Bhilwara: The Anti-Corruption Bureau team (ACB) in Bhilwara arrested PWD department executive engineer and two contractors while accepting a bribe of Rs 4,04,000 at Bhilwara Collectorate Tuesday evening.Accused were identified as executive engineer Shahzad Khan and two contractors Moduram Dhakad and Banwari Lal.Following the ACB action, a case was registered and searches were launched at Shahzad Khan’s residence and other locations.Bhilwara ACB DYSP Paras Mal said a trap was laid Tuesday evening after receiving a complaint. The operation was conducted under the supervision of Ajmer Range DIG Narayan Togas.According to Paras Mal, Shahzad Khan, posted at the Shahpura PWD office in Bhilwara district, was collecting money from contractors Moduram Dhakad, Banwari Lal and others for work executed by them, both for himself and for PWD Superintending Engineer Khemchand Meena, and was arrested along with Banwari Lal and Moduram Dhakad while taking bribe on Bhilwara Collectorate premises.
