Lucknow: Shiksha mitras (para teachers) on Tuesday expressed gratitude to chief minister Yogi Adityanath for hiking their honorarium by 80% and making a provision for cashless treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh.Tej Bhan Singh, a shiksha mitra from Kasganj who was honored by the CM, said: “We thank the govt for restoring our dignity. After the hike, there is an atmosphere of happiness in the family.”Another shiksha mitra, Shashiprabha Singh from Maharajganj, said, “It’s a great relief for our families after the CM took a major step to hike our honorarium. Along with this, he is also ensuring health security of Rs 5 lakh. This is a true recognition of the services of shiksha mitras.”Shiksha mitra from Kushinagar, Anuradha Singh, said, “We thank the CM for addressing our grievances. By providing economic upliftment along with the facility of cashless treatment, the govt has shown its concern for us.”Fariha Tabassum, a shiksha mitra from Gorakhpur, said It was a moment that she would cherish for her lifetime.Meanwhile, the CM, while visiting a stall at an exhibition set up by basic education department, interacted with a girl with hearing impairment who used speech therapy supported by a cochlear implant for studies. Yogi also interacted with a blind girl who read out some topics in Braille script.
