Jaipur: Rajasthan govt will introduce a common tracker to monitor the progress of all linear infrastructure projects, with monthly reviews by an empowered committee and quarterly reviews through Raj-UNNATI and govt-to-govt (G2G) platforms, Chief Secretary V Srinivas said Wednesday.Raj-UNNATI is an information and communication technology (ICT)-based governance platform launched by the state govt to track and accelerate key development projects, Central and state govt schemes, and public grievances.Chairing a review meeting on time-bound implementation of infrastructure projects, inter-departmental coordination and administrative preparedness for the upcoming Chief Secretaries’ Conference, Srinivas directed all departments concerned to finalise time-bound standard operating procedures (SOPs) and nominate nodal officers to speed up project execution. He said the Union ministry of road transport and highways (MoRTH) had appreciated Rajasthan for the time-bound implementation of infrastructure schemes on the ground by the public works department (PWD).Emphasising the need to widen the scope and improve the effectiveness of linear infrastructure projects, the chief secretary said road safety must remain a priority, with strict preventive measures to curb accidents. He asked departments to examine the PWD’s communication (UO note), assess proposals and action plans relevant to them, and submit recommendations to ensure smooth project execution. To address procedural delays, Srinivas directed officials to set up pre-checking desks at district offices and divisional forest officer (DFO) offices to resolve issues related to land acquisition, consent-based land purchases and forest clearances. He also asked the forest and revenue departments to coordinate to remove bottlenecks affecting National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) projects. The energy and public health engineering departments (PHED) were directed to ensure regular monitoring at the highest level of utility-shifting works and complete them within stipulated timelines.
