Police said the road work was being carried out near a pond in Chhapoli village. As the site falls on forest land, permission for road construction had not been granted by the local authorities. Despite this, villagers were allegedly getting the road built through mutual cooperation and donations.During the road construction work, an iron pipe on top of the cement mixer struck the high-tension line, causing current to pass into the machine and electrocuting workers at the site, police said.
