Hyderabad: A 29-year-old catering worker from Shamshabad has accused her boyfriend of allegedly secretly recording nude video calls and circulating the clips to her estranged husband, sister and others. Based on the complaint, the RGI Airport police registered a case on Sunday.Police said the complainant from Shamshabad alleged that the accused, who works at a local gas agency, shared her private photos and videos on WhatsApp without her consent.According to police, the complainant fell in love with a private worker and married him a decade ago. About three years back, her husband left her for another woman. Subsequently, the complainant began living alone and started working in a catering company. During this period, she came into contact with the accused and they soon became close.She alleged that about a month ago, the accused went to Vijayawada for personal work. He allegedly made repeated video calls to the complainant and forced her to appear nude during the calls. On May 1, some colleagues informed her that nude videos and photographs were circulated by the accused to various people through WhatsApp.The complainant also alleged that the accused shared the private videos and photos with her estranged husband and also with her sister, causing severe distress and humiliation.Based on the complaint, the RGI Airport police registered a case under Section 77 (Voyeurism) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) on Sunday. Police said the accused was absconding and they were trying to trace his whereabouts.
