Kolkata: The report of the preliminary post-mortem on 11-year-old Pawan Yadav, who died at Medical College and Hospital on Sunday, revealed that complications by a perforation in his stomach were the reason behind his death and not due to a wrong injection, as alleged by his parents. The internal inquiry committee, set up by MCH, negated the allegation of medical negligence.During the autopsy, doctors found a collection of pus in the Howrah boy’s abdomen. The primary report indicated Pawan’s small intestine ruptured at least four to five days before he was brought to the hospital and that this might have led to a severe infection, leading to sepsis and septic shock, which caused the death.
