Nabin sets 50% vote-share target for BJP in Goa, calls for outreach at all 1,731 booths
BJP national president Nitin Nabin told karyakartas to hold Janata Samvaad programmes at all 1,731 polling booths to highlight the work of BJP govts

Panaji: BJP national president Nitin Nabin on Tuesday set a 50% vote-share target for the party in Goa’s 2027 assembly elections, directing karyakartas to hold Janata Samvaad programmes at all 1,731 polling booths to highlight the work of BJP govts at the Centre and in the state.Addressing the party’s state executive committee meeting, Nabin urged workers to connect with first-time voters through dedicated programmes and watch Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat broadcast at every booth in Nov and Dec.With the assembly elections expected to be announced by Jan, he said party workers had limited time to reach out to voters and showcase govt’s achievements.“Say it with pride at the booth-level Janata Samvaad that we have fulfilled your work and we will do more,” Nabin said.He said BJP’s performance in Goa would send a message to opposition parties attempting to create anarchy in the country, adding that the number of seats the party wins would depend on the efforts of its karyakartas.“But I am sure you will break all past records. I am also sure opposition parties trying to create anarchy in the country will be sent a clear message by Goa,” he said.Nabin accused Congress of attempting to divert the youth towards anarchy, arguing that young Indians wanted to contribute to the country’s growth and self-reliance.“More than two lakh startups are working in India. Today’s youth is not just a job-seeker but coming forward as job-givers and the only reason is the leadership of Modi. The youth is speaking about the growth of the nation. But for them the definition of youth is something else. They are trying to divide youth because that is central to their politics. The Britishers left but left them with divide and rule policy,” he said.He alleged that Congress kept creating disturbances in different states instead of focusing on development.“But the country’s youth are not with anarchy, they are with Atmanirbhar Bharat mission. The country’s youth know that development can only take place under Modi,” he said.Nabin also criticised Congress over the women’s reservation bill, alleging that the party had obstructed its passage.“They only want anarchy in the country. They have no respect for mothers and sisters of the country,” he said.Accusing the opposition of undermining democratic institutions, Nabin invoked the Emergency imposed by Congress govt in 1975 and targeted Rahul Gandhi, alleging that the party’s commitment to the Constitution was driven by family interests.“Those who are swearing by the Constitution want nothing to do with the Constitution. These are who brought Emergency in the country. For them, there is no Constitution. For them, the Constitution is what benefits their family. But the country of 140 crore people will never allow it because they know that this family only lives for its own benefit,” he said.
