Ahmedabad: A 35-year-old woman has accused her brother-in-law of demanding sexual favours and threatening to kill her husband and their eight-year-old son if she refused. She approached Sabarmati police on Monday. The man allegedly showed her a knife and abused her after she rejected his advances near a school in the GST Crossroads area around two months ago.According to the complaint, the woman lives in Chenpur with her husband, who drives a loading tempo, and their two children, aged 10 and eight. The man frequently visited their home in the past. However, relations between the families soured about four years ago after a dispute between the woman’s sister-in-law and her husband.The complainant said she had gone to drop her younger son at a school near GST Crossroads when she saw her brother-in-law. He allegedly questioned why she had stopped talking to him.The man then allegedly asked her to maintain sexual relations with him. When she refused, he allegedly issued threats.The woman told her husband about the confrontation around 15 days ago but did not file a complaint because the man was a relative.However, she alleged tha the continued to come outside the school daily and demanded sexual relations.Eventually, the woman lodged a police complaint.
