Margao: South Goa district collector Egna Cleetus has issued a standard operating procedure (SOP) for processing and disposing of mutation applications, directing officers concerned to follow it strictly.The SOP lays down a uniform procedure for receipt, scrutiny, processing and disposal of applications. It covers issuance and service of notices, hearing of objections, maintenance of records, online processing, adherence to timelines and grievance redressal.Officers have been told to ensure timely processing and disposal of applications, subject to statutory provisions. Prescribed procedures must be followed for scrutiny, service of notices, hearings on objections and passing of reasoned orders, wherever applicable.Records of applications, notices, objections, proceedings and final orders must be maintained and updated in the relevant registers and Dharani Software.Mamlatdars and joint mamlatdars have been directed to regularly review pending cases and ensure timely disposal, with deputy collectors and sub-divisional officers monitoring compliance.The collector also directed that mutation and other revenue matters be handled strictly as per prescribed procedures, and mamlatdars and joint mamlatdars are authorised to process, certify and dispose of mutation applications on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and after office hours.
