Gandhinagar: Marking World Mental Health Day, the department of academic programmes at Children’s Research University organised a seminar at Shishu Mandapam. The programme focused on addressing social stigma, dispelling misconceptions surrounding mental health, and promoting greater sensitivity towards individuals facing emotional and psychological challenges.The seminar featured Pravin Valera, mentor at Jeevan Aastha, and Sanjivani Adhvaryu, senior counsellor, as keynote speakers.The speakers emphasised the importance of understanding mental health challenges with empathy and sensitivity. They noted that listening carefully to people’s feelings and experiences is crucial to providing timely and meaningful support during difficult situations. Participants were encouraged to adopt a compassionate approach and contribute to creating a more understanding society.
