Colva: Fatorda police have registered an offence of rash and negligent driving against Guru Puttegowda, a native of Karnataka, following a fatal road accident on the western bypass near Mungul overbridge on Monday morning.According to police, Puttegowda was driving a mini bus carrying 11 passengers from Baga to Gokarna when the accident occurred at around 10.45 am. As the vehicle reached the Mungul overbridge, it rammed the rear of a water tanker watering plants along the divider of the four-lane bypass.The impact of the collision left passenger Nagendra L, also a native of Karnataka, with severe head injuries. He was rushed to South Goa District Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.Fatorda police have registered a case of rash and negligent driving against the driver. Further investigation and necessary formalities are under way.
