Mumbai Police confirmed that the three suspects involved in the firing incident targeting actor Tiger Shroff are adults

MUMBAI: None of the three accused arrested in the Tiger Shroff firing case is a minor, Mumbai Police said on Monday, adding that two of the assailants fired five to six rounds at the actor’s car.Addressing a press conference, DCP Raj Tilak Roshan said one of the accused is 18 years old and other two are 22 years old, news agency PTI reported.“Two accused are from Haryana, and one is from Bihar. Two of the three arrested assailants had fired five to six rounds at Tiger Shroff’s car,” he said. The motorcycle used by the accused was found in Mumbai’s Andheri area, the DCP said.“No weapon was recovered from three suspects. We are bringing them to Mumbai from Rajasthan,” he said.Roshan said there had been no complaint earlier about any threat to Tiger Shroff, PTI reported.“The motive behind firing on the actor is not yet ascertained. We will find it out after interrogating the suspected assailants,” the DCP added. The three accused were arrested by the Anti-Gangster Task Force and Rajasthan Police from a train at Kota railway station while travelling from Mumbai towards Delhi. They were allegedly trying to evade the police after the firing incident.According to the investigation, the assailants allegedly fled along SV Road through Vile Parle and Andheri after the shooting and abandoned their motorcycle near Andheri West railway station before boarding a train towards Borivali.Police had expanded the search to Gujarat amid suspicions that they may have crossed into the neighbouring state to evade arrest.Investigators also suspect that the assailants conducted a recce of Shroff’s movements before the attack. They allegedly tracked his routine for around 10 days and knew about his regular Sunday visits to a football ground in Juhu. The firing took place around 7pm on Sunday as the actor was leaving the venue in his car.Police are also examining whether paparazzi videos documenting the actor’s public appearances may have helped the assailants study his routine before the attack.Investigators are probing how the accused obtained information about his movements and whether the firing was part of a pre-planned operation.(With agency inputs)
